Finally -- the voters of America seem to have come to their senses (except for the 4 million, who probably thought they were still voting for Al Gore ) and voted John Stevens off of American Idol. Not that I wish the lad ill or anything like that, but he reminded me too much of Bill Clinton (and sang too much like a lounge lizard) for my tastes.

Anyway, as usual the group performance was spot-on, and as we get closer to the end the emotions are becoming harder for the contestants to reign in. However, the entire group (yes, even John Stevens) have poured out their souls into their performances, so they are entitled to a little emotional release.

So, what'll next week bring? Who's Next?
