Earlier this month, I had the opportunity to sit down to a buffet dinner, featuring boiled crawfish (mudbugs) as the main item. I picked up a platter, as did Dona. She couldn't finish hers off, so I had to help out (the "ouch" you heard was my arm being twisted  ). I made a valiant effort, and managed to stuff myself quite nicely, but the bugs won out in the end, and some of them had to go back to the kitchen.
I am certainly hoping to get another such opportunity before the mudbug season ends -- if not, I will have to check out the softshell crabs instead.

Actually, my cholesterol is under control -- and the next morning, my blood sugar level was a good bit lower than it had been previously.

Yep, sure is 
I am having Dona buy me a couple of pounds of the critters at HEB today. I am sure going to get my fill of them this season, and am planning another trip (even if only a day trip) to Luzianne to get me some more fresh ones!
