Now, it appears that The Most Reversed Court In The Land have decided that all those Taliban and Al-Quaeda fighters who are being held as POWs at Gitmo are entitled to access to the full US (civilian) legal system.
I'll bet the Nazi POWs from WWII would have liked that.
Fortunately, there is a good reason the 9th Circuit is known as 'The Most Reversed Court In The Land'.

I just wish sometimes that I made the money the lawyers were off of this type of thing...but then again...maybe I should be glad I am not one of them after all...

How did they figure out they had jurisdiction? I thought Guantanamo was under an EAST coast circuit court's jurisdiction?

Guantanamo is a MILITARY facility - technically, not under the jurisdiction of ANY civilian court.
However, I presume the lawsuit was filed in a district under the 9th Circuit, in the time-honored tradition known as "forum shopping".

That should be enough to have them reversed.

I'm wondering how that is possible since they're a west coast court and cuba is on the east coast. Even THAT is another reason they'd be overruled.
