So, 2 active-duty military personnel were doing a little PDA near a public viewing area at the Alamo, some of the other visitors complained, and the couple were arrested.

Of course, since they were assigned to a med battalion, who knows, maybe they were making a new "training video" for incoming boots.

I guess it takes the phrase "Remember the Alamo!" to a whole new level. Rolling Eyes

According to news reports, the pair (ages 18 and 19) remain in jail.

BTW, I don't know why they would have picked the Alamo -- admittedly, cheap motel rooms may not be all that luxurious, but the Alamo is a stone building, which leads me to wonder if the young lady was caught between a rock and a hard place?

Who's "this guy"? If you are talking about the male component of the amorous couple, I don't know -- the report didn't say.

I'll bet that, regardless of his position, he was not happily surprised when he found out you CAN be arrested for being "at attention" in a pubic... er, public place.

You could say that. Of course, given the unit the couple were assigned to, it appears their budding romance was MASHed. That happens when you play doctor in public. And, as a result, they may be BARred from appearing in public for awhile.
